I have to drop the tank on my '89 K5.
I don't know what tank I have, it is the stock one that came with the truck. I have the 350 under the hood. Does that help?

Is a larger tank available? Is there some maintance I should do while I have the tank removed?

    Thanks.

If you do a search you should find some different discussions on alternate tanks you can use. One thing you might do while it's out is cut a hole in the floor over the top of the tank and make an access door so you can reach the sending unit without dropping the tank. After market tanks with larger capacities are available from AeroTank and JcWhitney if you do a search at http://www.ibiblio.org/rdu/p-sl.html

I had to drop my tank in my 90, It was a 31 gallon tank. I beleive they came in a 22 gallon and 31 gallon from the factory.
If you have a drop hitch you will have to take that off first.

I beleive someone on this form just got a 40 gallon tank for there truck.
