Are there any tricks to removing a rusted-on gas tank? It's a 16 gal on the dirver's side of my K20.
I was told it was bad by the PO and so only use the othre one, and when the key is in the on position without the truck running, there is a whirring buzzing noise coming from it. Could this be the fuel pump trying to "prime" itself or something? I'm having electrical problems, so I want to rule out every possible electrical waste/issue. I am hoping if I drop the tank I will be able to unhook the power to its pump and wait to replace it until I have the $$. Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

    Tom

So I have to remove the catalytic converter? Do I need to remove all the exhaust from the back up, or can I just pull it out alone? And how the F*** can I do that??
