Say I was to put a 2' body (I know, I know) and and ORD shackle flip, does anyone know how to go about moving tank up 2 or 3 inches in order to increase departure angle. Doesn't look hard except for the dam lip all the way around tank. Doesn't look like it will pass through frame rails without grinding it down on sides. Is this safe to do (and I mean after gas tank is drained and vented?

If you ain't hurt, you ain't playin' hard enough.

I just did my gas tank a while ago and I don't think it can be done. The gas tank acually goes up against your crossmembers on the top of the tank. Thats what holds the tank in on the top. There are plastic pieces so no chaffing occures. So I don't think it can be done.
