Just a little FYI..... Ive been having a hellava time getting the rear two pieces of my 241 Transfer Case to seal. So i as a 3rd attempt, i thought id make a gasket. Spent about hours tracing, cutting, and making it just right. (turned out real purdy too /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif ) But only to find out that there is no room for the thickness of the gasket. The added thickness eats up the space needed for the snap ring that holds the bearing on the output shaft.

Something that will help to make a good seal on these, is to take an awl and scribe a line along the center of the both seal surfaces, so the RTV has a place to grab into.
