They did save a lot of damage. Without them, more than the door would have ate it.

Wow! You whacked that rock pretty hard! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif But it looks like a couple of minutes with a can of black Rustoleum and the rock sliders will look as good as new! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Too bad it won't be that easy to fix the door... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Gave the rocksliders the \"field test\"

I think I have found a problem with them. After a good use they loosen up. Looks like the body structure gets compressed during heavy use making the bolts loose. I might have to put a plate or something on the other side of the body structure. I think it will work out. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

try stuffing a deflated basketball (or the likes) inside the door and then slowly inflate it. We did this a couple weeks ago to Ducttape's /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif with a dent worse than that and it dissapeared! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I think the crease in the bottom might get me. Its not as bad as what I did to the other door on Moab last year. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I remember that but my bedliner held up and since the dent in the door on lower it has become a door in the dent, don't lean it on it's side and try to keep going. It hurts. I hope to see you there again. this year at EJS.

Re: Gave the rocksliders the \"field test\"

one problem i have with mine is they look like they are frownin if ya look at em from the side...after a few hard hits in gate keeper in the rubicon...i dont think my doors will close (that is if i had em on)..so i am goin to have to pull em off and throw them in the Hydro press and bend em back...maybe shove a heaver wall tube down the center of em to stiffin them up a little. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif but they did do their job and save my rockers...and made a great place to jack with the highlift

That was what Shawn Spickler said. I used big, thick washers on mine and I only have one bolt. But I also welded the kicker bars in place (on the slidders only, not the frame).
