    Be honest and open

If that doesn't work, make up your own lyrics and sing along

It probably depends on your position in relation to his... And how politically correct your workplace tries to be...

I don't think it'd be unreasonable to suggest finding something everyone likes... Or if it's YOUR stereo, just kick him in the nuts and put your music back on...

What do you mean by church music? Like hymns? Or just Christian pop stuff?

    Well here's my thought.

The dude is playing Christian music. So test his conviction. Go over and ask him to respect your beliefs, or lack there of. If it were me you were askin' I would say ok and simply ask that we find some generic music station we can both listen to.

Since you didn't say what the 'shop music' was I can not say if that was offensive to him. But I think that two adults ought to be able to come some type of argreement.

It's funny to me that you are afraid/concerned/bashful/cautious/whatever about asking this guy to stop changing the music... Why is that?

    It's like this Dale..........
We have this thing in both the US and Canada called "Freedom of Religion". Which means you can be any religion you want to be or not to be. With that being said, it pisses Me off to no end when some dicksnot tries to force their religious music on to Me which infringes on My Constitutional Rights.
Get some Habib tunes and play that for the idiot.:D

maybe you guys could come up with a system to rotate what music gets played on what day.. annoy everyone equally.

Perhaps you aren't offended by it, but you are bothered by it. Well at least I have to assume that since you are on this list requesting advice about how to handle the situation.

As for your cracker in Compton metaphor that is a bit different. This is your workplace and if you don't like the atmosphere, then you have the right to comment on it.

I stick to my suggestion in the earlier post. But I do still wonder where your trepidation comes from with regard to confronting this guy about something that bothers you.

It depends on what rank he is. I am the boss therefor no rap music on my shift:D

J/K yeah I have always seemed to work in very diverse shops. You just need to talk to him and compromise. Maybe a shop vote or something. I always tell the guys if nobody likes what you are listening too headphones might be an option.
