Gear Indicator

    After my lift was put on i noticed that the gear shift indicator stopped working does anyone know how i can fix this? /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Did you have a body lift?
    Did you extend the shifter linkage? if not you will have that problem.

    Mine had a little teeny tiny piece of string that went from the column to the orange pointer. It used to fall off or come off track ALL the time. Its not too hard to fix.

    I had a body lift put on and i didnt extend the linkage
    so how can i fix it?

    You basically want to extend the linkage as much as you lifted the body, the indicator would point at the right place.
    At least thatis what I did.
    Mine is a 76 though I am not sure if yours is the same
