Another noob question from J: how much gear oil does a 10-bolt hold? My front/rear gears should be broke in now, and its time for some mobile 1...

Fill it to the top of the fill -hole... You should be able to stick your pinky finger in the fill-hole and feel it right at the bottom edge of the hole..
Not sure of exact measurement's.. Mine took about a bottle and a half..

    I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. www.rocko.rockcrawler.com

Fill it up til it runs out, let it run out until it stops and put the plug back in. My 14 SF takes over 3 quarts, I think. I just buy a gallon and a quart, and fill one with the other.

I just changed my gear oil. Takes a little bit of the third quart.
