Is that installed or just the gears? Sounds really high for just the gears.

go on pirate4x4.com on the vendors showcase forum. There are two guys there that offer a "we beat anyones price on gears!" kinda deal.... get a quote from both and go with the cheapest. $700? regearing my d60 and ff14b with master install kits was $500ish from these guys...

Ok, new question...why even put money into a 12 bolt? If you need gears and carrier and everything thats gonna cost a lot no matter where you get the parts. Even if you don't swap a 14 bolt, what about a used 12 bolt?

I'll second getting a used 12b. That's a big chunk of money for a 1/2 ton rear. I'm sure somebody has a used rear. Talk to T-roy. I think he has a set of 3.73 geared axles (D44 & 12b) sitting at his place. I know they rolled. They were in a '75 blazer before he parted it out.

I have a 12b with 3.73's and broken spiders, you can have it for free when I get a 14bff, hopefully in a few weeks.

The truck is actually a van with a 5-lug 12 bolt. It could be the car version 12 bolt........

the bolt pattern for the wheels....car will be 5 on 4.75.....truck will be 5 on 5.... or 6 lug.. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif..unless some one installed a leaf rear end from a impala kingswood wagon,,,,then it would be car with 5 on 5....but those r fairly uncommon...

I thought the 1/2 ton bolt pattern was 5 or 6 on 5.5"? At least that is what mine is.
