gettin lube in the axle

    Does anyone have any tricks to get gear oil the the rear end its just so awkward to fit anything back there.

    The fill hole on my 84 10-bolt is on the front passenger side of the diff case. I believe a 3/8 ratchet alone is used to undo the bolt.....

    If you buy gear lube in a qt. container most likely if will have a pouring spout that you can stick ain the hole and squeeze the container. I just did this today in my 14ff.

    I take the 5 gal. pail out to the truck and stick the nozzel in the fill hole and pump it in. /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

    Evan, if and when you come to my shop we sell the pump for the gear lube bottle. Makes adding gear oil a breeze.
