Getting a 6.2L Diesel Rotating Assembly Balanced???

    Just out of curiosity would you get any benifit from getting you 6.2L Diesel Rotating Assembly Balanced?

    Just was reading about engine balancing in a mag and thought I would throw this out there.

    Yes, I believe it would. 6.2/6.5s have had problems with harmonics, some motors even end up with cracks in the main web area. If the engine is worked hard or modified it would be more likely to crack IMHO. If/when I rebuild mine I will spend the extra dough to get the recipricating assemble balanced. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
