The Jimmy seems to be getting much harder to shift into 4Lo, I will try this week again to remember the steps. I remember I was getting almost a gears against gears sound?

I always put the tranmission in Neutral, then shift the tcase. Is there a specific procedure I should be following? How about when you shift back into 2Hi? Seems like I remember old Dodges or something you were supposed to 'back up' a few feet to disengage the 4wd?

I dont remember it being nearly as hard or making the noise a few years ago? Could it be something as silly as low fluid?

If the gears are grinding when you are stopped the tranny might still be spinning some. Try it in park and see what happens.
