Well it looks like the statute of limitations has run out, so Dug Right will be coming to Phoenix on 12 Sept. He will only be fouling up town, uh, I mean staying for the weekend, so we are going to have a git-together for him so he can see his old partners in crime while he is here. The event will occur on Saturday 13 Sept 2003 at 4:00P. The festivities will be hosted by Mosesburb (Nick) at his house. Anyone needing directions can PM me and I will provide some sort of directions to guide you to my humble abode. Because of financial restrictions caused by a recent baby, the event will be a bring your own--beverages, grill fodder, wives/husbands. Anyone interested in being the grill-meister, feel free (you DO NOT want me to cook!). All are welcome and we hope all can attend.

    Hey Grant,
I think everyone had a good time. I know I did and I know Dug did as well. From the time Marv unloaded Dug's Springer setup Dug had a little stiffy for the rest of the evening. Had a pretty good turnout. Dug (of course), Bobzilla, Little Dave, Russ, Muddysub, Allan Greenblazer, Uncle Tom, Marv & his boy, Rob & family, Warren (the upholstery guy from Grand Junktion CO)...Fred didn't want to show in person so he called on the phone and we did the pass-the-phone technique to make it seem more like he was there. I think that is the roll call of the event. We loitered in the front yard for several hours, then went in and ate, then we watched one of Rob's videotape that chronicled some of the reduction of Marv & Rob's K5s back to the ore from which they came. Lots of fun /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Dug said he really enjoyed seeing the old gang while he was here.
He didn't bring any of the goods for you as his Sub is not feeling well.

Thanx all for taking the time to drive the distance (you east siders)...really miss you guys a bunch..you are like my family...and not having you around sux a--...but what do you do?

Soory grant that nothing made it down that way. Pulled a 24 hour stint on thursday changing out a cylinder head on the burb...unfortunately it developed a nasty miss after that...and i gave up since i couldn't see straight. The wife had it towed to the chev dealer and $500 later we drove it home...supposedly mall adjusted valves...and new plugs...then it crapped again on the last turn to the house at 530pm...way past our scheduled leaving out time so we just rented a car for the trip. The trip pretty much sucked as it was a grab and go to move the father in law...so we are going to try again sometime in the future so we relax and hang out as that is what we wanted to do...but now that the burb is outa my hair...and once i can get the house back in order i'll get to workin on the 79 for moab and the harness for you.

thanx again all and a special thanx to nick for making it all happen.

Marv....send the pics bud...want to springerize this weekend...azbazer@bresnan.net.
