    I gotta vent...

Just before I left on vacation, I went to a Brooks & Dunn concert here in Dallas. When it came time to leave, everyone is trying to get out of the parking lot. If you have ever been to a concert here in Dallas at Starplex, you know getting out of the lot is not easy. As all the cars and trucks are trying to funnel out of only a few lot exits, several 4 bys start going up to medians separating the lot from the street, jumping the curbs, and going across the grass only to cut someone off as they flew out onto the street. You know, my Jimmy with its lift and oversized tires can do that with the best of them, but that's just not cool. Off-roading should be reserved for off-road sites or out-of-the-way places, not across grass medians in the city. And sometimes people wonder why 4x4s have such a reputation.

Of course, the funny thing to me is that almost all of the vehicles doing it were Grand Cherokees or Toyota pickups. That is probably the most off-raoding those "trucks" have ever seen! And there was a Ford or two that followed suit. But, I guess since they own a Ford, they have a good claim for temporary insanity!

    Just my .02...

I do that sometimes. Jump up on the curb, smash a few cars, you know since I'm such an uncareful driver. Actually I have only done it once, but I would have been sitting for 2hrs. It sure be the alternative.

    Pedal mashed and KICK'N ASS!

I did something like that one time, but I was in an armored truck. My lane was blocked by everyone wanted to turn left, so I popped the passenger side up on the sidewalk and took off.

It's a shame to see people doing things like that when it's not necessary. I-35 was shutdown once due to a multi car wreck. Traffic was at a stand still and the officer was waiving vehicles cabable of driving the side median (a large hill about 20' high at about a 35 degree angle) to go ahead and conquer the small hill. I idles right up while others had to be "cool" and gas it all the way up ripping up loose dirt and mud. That kind of behavior should be reserved for the appropriate place. Not the side of the interstate or parking lot.

it's a bunch of guys with little penis syndrome showing off for their dates. Yeah I know starplex and what a B!tch it can bee to get out of there. We were jammed up for about an hour after the Metallica concert last year. So, how was the B&D concert, they put on a good show or what?

Actually, I have jumped a curb before. DIdn't mean to, but the little old lady that was infront of me decided to slam on her brakes and stop immediately. i was following a tad too close and didn't have enough time to stop. With the btires locked up and screechin, I saw I wasn't going to stop, luckily there was no one on the curb or close by and had to litterally jump the curb(since it was about 10" tall) and ride down it until I passed her. I did get a standing ovation from some near by kids playing in a field. Luckily they were far enough away to be out of danger! :)

Concert was great. Started with Keith Urban (okay music but good stage presence), then Montgomery Gentry. Next was Toby Keith followed finally by B&D. They also did a nice tribute to Earnhardt. It was a very good show.

But you know what? It isn't any fun looking for gas in the Fair Park area at midnight on a Friday night! doooh

yeah that can be a rough area. Gettin hassled my pimps and pushers and all you want to do is get a few gallons of gas and a bag o'chips.

That sounds like a good concert. I went to two concerts put on by the wolf this summer. We saw the George Strait concert with GS, Alan Jackson, Lonestar, Asleep at the wheel, Brad Pansy, ect and it was ok. But the killer concert was Texas Uprising with REK, Charlie Robinson, Jack Ingram, Reckless Kelley, Cory Morrow, ect. At $10 you sure get your money's worth!

I hate that crap. Just take your lumps and sit in the traffic like everyone else. Plus I saw a guy lose his license for just about the same thing while in court for my own ticket once.

I have to admit, though, I will occasionally hop a curb when it looks deserted and it's a long drive around it...
