Anyone heading to Globe for the comp? I will be there judging/recovery with my new one. I hope to get some time to work on the shocks also.

I am staying in Tempe with friends from ASU. Could someone draw me a map of the kewl clubs/bars/trails? :D I am sure we will be drinking/wheeling/partying, but not sure of the order.

Me and hossbaby were talking about going when it was in florence Globe adds another hour on the drive though. I also don't know what kinda trail there is out there. The calrocks comp a few years ago was a little boaring inside woodpecker IMO.

I can assure you that this event will not be boring. A lot has changed in the last two years...matter of fact, just about everything has. I am sure there will be some extreme stuff out there. Little Rich has a knack for picking out sick lines and courses. If I am not judging or competing, I love going to events just to steal ideas for my next build. Everyone's new rigs will be out there, including a Campbell Ent. RX8 moon buggy, Mike Shaffer and Bob Standage's new 4 wheel steer subbie moon buggies, and many other trick rides.

How much travel time is there between Globe and Tempe?

About an 1.5 hours I think. I am still thinking about going but I am not going to, and can't afford to drive my pig that far. I am interested in going but I won't know for sure for a little while.

How much is admission? or is there admission? Parking costs?....?

Doubt there will be parking costs, as the event is very close to town and you could park anywhere and walk.

    Event admission:

$15 for a one day adult pass
$20 for a 2 day adult pass (10 per day)
    $5 for kids 8-15
Kids 7 and under are FREE!!!
All Women $5 off admission both days!!! Happy Valentines

Just looked it up on Mapquest, and its gonna be a fun ride with a bunch of hungover drunks at 7 am to get there both mornings. I can't wait. :D

    Globe

Globe is only an hour out side of Mesa, took an hour from Gilbert and Baseline to get their. My father has a empty house in Globe might be willing to let someone spend the night but rather hard to get a rig to it, its on a dead end and almost no place to turn around

In the past, yes. I have never been to a comp that didnt run due to weather. I am sure lightning/tornado/down pour would be about the only things that would stop things. I have competed in some fairly craptacular weather though.
