How is a manual swich better and how is it done?
First, fill out your bio so the rest of us know what kind of truck (6.2) we're dealing with. If it's a CUCV (as your other post eludes to) forget the manual switch. CUCVs have a unique glow plug system, different from all the civilian models. The glow plugs (13Gs I believe) cycle an extra long time. The only benifit of a manual switch is being able to activate the plugs if your controller fails, possible but not as probable as some other common (CUCV) failures. Real trucks don't have spark plugs!
