    I have the code G80, I understand it means Gov-lock could someone explain what this means?

    "Gov-Lok" is the what GM called their factory option limited slip differential.

    It's the Eaton Gov-Lok limited slip. "Posi" as some people like to say. It's not bad when you have stock sized tires up to about 33" tires. Much more than that or if you do serious 4x4ing, you'll be wanting a high end limited slip or a locker. Hope this helps.
