So my 3 year old daughter and I destroyed her Little Tikes car tonight that we picked up at a garage sale last weekend for $5.

Anybody got any simple plans for making a metal or wooden go-cart - don't need it to be powered - I would really like something safe & simple.

My first go-kart was a cut down piece of plywood with a hunk of two by four that was wider than the plywood with a hole drilled in the center as a pivot and a piece of rope tied to the ends of the two by four.

Yes it was rudimentary but I designed it and I was 8.

Oh I forgot you need to put axles and wheels under it as well. Served me well for quite a while.

Sounds exactly like the one I designed and built at about the same age. I used those hard gate wheels (white center steel rim style) on mine...
