Apparently, this is true. What a bizarre time we're living in, when we can acknowledge greatness in the men who built the foundation of this land, yet denounce the standards they used.

    Anyway, here it is:

    ----------------------------------------------------------
THIS IS VERY INTERESTING! After you check your state(s), look at the last
    sentence or two.

America's founders did not intend for there to be a separation of God and

is faced with the prospect that maybe, just maybe, the ACLU and the
    out-of-control federal courts are wrong!

"Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants."

I would bet money that there are groups in each state working on changing every one of the state constitutions as well as the federal constitution. I just saw on the news yesterday that the city of LA had to remove the cross from their seal /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif What a bunch of bullshit. Whats next are churchs not gonna be allowed to have a cross on the outside of their buildings /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

So leeches are god's hands? No, they're small animals that can suck the blood out of areas that the body can not get the blood out of. Nothing miraculous about that.

I saw an entire church full of people pray for my wife's mother, every sunday for a month. She still died a horrible, slow, painful death from cancer. She was one of the sweetest, nicest people I've ever known, and was my wife's best freind in the entire world. Oh wait, let me guess, it was her time, God wanted her at his side, right? So when someone is saved it's a miracle, when someone dies it's God's will. That's called chance, not religion.

I don't mean to sound bitter because I'm not, but it's pretty stereotypical for someone of your particular faith to try to force your beliefs on others. Just because you explain things to yourself in a certain way does not make those explanations the truth. Enjoy your faith, I envy you for it, but don't force it on others.

In other religions that's called Karma. I'm down with Karma but I don't attribute it to God's hand handing me a burger and a wiener because I gave some dude my pocket change.

Krama is a lame ass faggotty hippy concept with too much spiritual connotation

    Here's the real deal

    1. You act kind and speak kind and are intelligent
    2. People are happy because of your actions
    3. People carry that ideal of helpfullness and kindess and repeat it as they now believe in the greater good of man
    4. RJ gets a dollar for saving kittens and a free shop towel for giving a stranded motorist some old lock grips (he also meets a strange british man who calls RJ an angel, awwwwwwww)
    5. RJ is happy he does this
    6. RJ keeps happy outlooka nd notices the good not the bad

So the lesson is, don't be pessimistic. Being an eternal optimist is what keeps me from laughing at your religion. I would be very happy if your gods exist, they may even play checkers with you!

Anyway, me and my Jesus are going to go read now, well rather, Jesus is going to fall asleep in a chair and I'm going to read, [censored] sleepy ass Jesus.......

Oh and as for praying for something. Praying gives you the buffer against the mind wrenching concept of pure chance. Oh he survived getting shot by one inch? GOD! Nope sorry, bad aim. Be happy you're not shot though, that's where the dollar and the kitten and the british guy come in.

As for free food, extra food, don't want to waste, try and give it away, reciever happy, giver happy. Reciecer's husband uses it as an obtuse justification for beardy diety of doom. User's husband also eats lots of processed meat.

In the end, ladies and jellyspoons, nothing really matters, so cheer up!

RJ just doesn't want to call something that anyone else calls it. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif To-may-to, to-mah-to, you just described what karma is to someone that isn't spiritual, like me.

Seriously, when I'm on the can and there's no commode parchment, I yell for my wife and say "WIFE! BRING ME MORE COMMODE PARCHMENT!" and she does, because she's good like that.

I didn't really have a point to posting this, I just found it quite interesting in light of the 10-commandments-removed-from-the-courthouse, and the take-God-out-of-the-pledge thing. God seems to appear on more than just our cash and most important documents in the country.

So, since we have one religious thread burning bright right now, let this one sink!
