Well last night I pulled off my trucks hard top for the first time!!! That thing was rather heavy to pick off my truck with 33 and 4 inch lift for me (5foot6) and friend (5 foot 8). Now I have my HOME MADE soft-top on! I have taken a hard top cut it down and added snaps to the fiberglass. Across the tailgate I have added a strip of metal with some snaps in it as well. So what I have created is a soft-top that DID NOT have drilling ANY holes in my truck. I will try to get some pics and write and what I have done from start to finish this weekend.

Thanks for the help MATT, SCOTT, And KEN!!

yeah my custom soft top has no drilling either
but i wont be pulling off my hard top for another 3weeks
cause im gonna do it during spring break so i can have time to make a pully system
yead it was hard to pull my top off w/ 2inch and 33's now im running a 4inch and 35s!
and i cant fit in the garage, so i am gonna make a pully system in the yard between 2 trees
    anyone have any sugestions?

I should have added you to my list to thank. I will have to add you to reference list so you do not sue me for COPY RIGHT!!! Mine will look real close to yours, but i did use snaps on the tailgate, but not drilled in to the tailgate!

    LOL

This is what I did, I took a 4 foot piece of 3/4 inch square tub. drilled 5 holes in that. Placed 5 snaps in the metal. Took 3m 2-sided tape and attached the rail to the tailgate. I tried to use some liquid weld, but that did not work at all.

But i hope to have pics and a whole write-up this weekend

hell yeah. That's what I'm talking about...I mainly want to see how you cut your hard top and stretched the material over it...I dont mind drilling my body.
