The tree that my wife backed into with her 03 Grand prix, which just happens to be the same one she just backed into with her 06 trailblazer.

    :doah:

I haven't seen the damage yet, but I can't imagine it's good. And, I have $500 deductable. :doah:

Body shop says $821 not painting the bumper and replacing the tail light.

May I suggest drinking a glass of whiskey while cutting the tree down,It's a little tricky to run the saw at the same time but it makes for a more interesting ending...:D

"Chainsaw and Whiskey" That has a nice ring to it. - Rolls off the tongue kind of like peanut butter and jelly, or maybe ham and cheese.

Just tell your wife that every time she hits the tree she has to give up the backdoor. Wont happen again and the tree gets to go on living. :)

Well, my blood pressure might be back to normal after a long cool down period. In the end, it's only money, and metal and plastic. Nobody was hurt.

I haven't cut the down the tree yet, was raining and cold today. Maybe friday. I happened at my in-laws house, so it's not really my tree to cut down, but I'm gonna do it anyway. My wife was pretty pissed at herself for doing it. And she was pretty defensive about the whole situation until we got the estimate. In the end, I'll just suck it up, pay the $500 deductable and move on.

The buttsecks thing may work though, thanks for the suggestion :waytogo:

Total out of pocket will be the $500 deductable. And probably an increase in rates. I really don't have the cash for the deductable, considering the baby will be here in 9 days. Probably have to wait until the middle of december.

I would make her ride around with the dent in it if it hadn't broken the paint and gone down into bare metal.
