good 4:10 ring gear

    im looking for just a ring gear, a rock cracked my ring gear , stupid chrome diff covers

    anyways, if i have to buy a ring gear and pinon ill look for a complete diff.

    just seeing if a fellow ck5er has a 4:10 dana 44 ring gear lying around they want to ship to me

    You should change them out as a set

    yeha? is that recommended, never changed gears before, going to learn, bought a dial indicator, thought i could just swap the one..

    It is best to change them out in sets when your dealing with used gears. They get a wear pattern once they are used and will fail pretty quick if you swap it out with another used/ mis-matched gear.

    I'm not a R&P expert, but it would seem to me that it would be less of an issue if it was the front since it's not running all the time.

    did you ever find a set. I just listed a set on Ebay. I know they are good because they came out of my truck. I would sell them direct to you on here but they usually do decent money on there. check em out. Item number: 260060043872
