I know this isnt k5 related but i couldnt get a reply in the truck section. Does this seem like a good deal? Or too good to be true?
83 1 ton 4x4 w/454 bored .030 over w/ 3 inch susp 3 inch body lift. Dana 40/60's Rebuilt TH-400 and 33" BFG Mud Terrains. he's asking 4000 OBO. tell me what you guys think. It sounds like a really good deal.

  2. Sounds good, but how is the body? Any rust? Have you heard the truck fire up? For an 83 and $4,000 it needs to be sweet all around.

Check the body mount's.. make sure there is no Body or Cab sag !!! Without more details and no pictures.. I'd say 4,000 is high... is that price negotiable?

Pickup's are famous for getting Cab Sag.. where it sag's near the back of the cab and the front of the pickup bed..
The body mount's rot out letting the cab come down a inch or so.
Especially being around Corpus Christi area.. if it's been a beach truck.. the salt water.. sand will eat underneath the truck.. if it hadn't been properly maintained and cleaned..
Just a FYI... Crawl underneath and look at the cab mounts..
