A guy I work with has a 73 and 74 Chevy pickups for sale. Both short box. Both V8. Both 4x4. Both stock suspension. Both 1/2 ton. The details..

73 -> V8 (unknown and not running), t350, 203, d44/12 bolt. Great cab and bed. Cracked frame.

74 -> 350 (running but needs carb), 4sp granny low(unsure of what kind), 205, d44/12 bolt. Crappy cab but good bed. Good frame.

Also in the deal there are a new set of fenders, doors, and bunch of other parts. I am guaranteed a running motor, if not from the 74, from another truck. The plan is to make one truck out of the two and part out what is left. The asking price is $1500, but I know he will take less because he needs them gone now. Would it be worth it for say $800 to $1000?
