Actually Surpip, some of us are at the bottom of the Tard Barrel. That's what you CK5 long timer's are here for, guiding us through the land of 4x4 autism with the hope we can become respectable sock puppets.

Young grasshopper, one should strive to be a meat puppet, leaving sock puppetry to the hosiery.

You see, this is what I am talking about. Master Shaggy in his infinite wisdom has saved me from an autistic moment of self inflicted hosiery humiliation.

I shall strive for the glory of meat-puppetry and follow the CK5 guiding light.

Steve, of course. Steve is all, for he controls the vertical and the horizontal. With the push of a button he could make CK5 go *poof*. Your case is special though, Spickler holds your strings.

Nope, you're not the only one.......

just tried posting something and got this

"The text that you have entered is too long (26229 characters). Please shorten it to 10000 characters long."

It was a list of States and a humorous one sentence explanation after each one.

So now you get to read this instead of my intended post, dry indeed :D

Yeah, I noticed too. I loved the old CK5, now this place reminds me of pirate and you know how often I go there.

i think at first it was a pain to post up and check things out for every one and most dident give it the cance it deserved, so they left and only swing by to check stuff out ever once and a whille in stead of liveing here like most do...

Hopefully then they will return. I've looked at Pirate and the other sites. None of them have the friendly hometown atmosphere that CK5 does.

IMHO this is the place to be for a good laugh and conversation with good friends. You nearly always get good response to your technical questions and always have a laugh at someone's post. There are a lot of creative people here with great character.

If you've been here a long time then you probably get burnt out by the same old repetetive questions from "stupid" new people. However, I think you could make the most of it if you just accept the fact that new blood is always going to be arriving and work around it. You never know which new guy may become a great friend, wheeling buddy, or resource for non-4x4 related topics. I'd hate to think that the gray beards were leaving because of new people arriving.

I would hope that any site user issues could be resolved and were not set in concrete by Steve. Perhaps he would consider making changes if he felt enough people had greivances.

I agree, its the best place for family friendly enviroment. I think the volume is down because of the new BB format, believe it or not many liked the old and picked the site intially because of the format and family friendly atmosphere and stayed because of the people. If both values are equal (format/atmosphere) and you take away one you obviously change the customer base. I dont think new people coming in has anything to do with it.
