Im gonna be wiring up my next dash and am looking for a good online source of electric switches, relays etc. Im having a tough time finding certain things I want. For instance, I want some rectangular rocker switches that are lit blue when on, and mount via a round hole. Preferably the kind that has a little lockring you can screw down to tighten the mounting up, not snap-on mount type switches. anyway, Ive never really bought to much of this kinda stuff before, so I thought I'd see if any1 here had a good source. TIA!

I'll second Waytek. You shouldn't need another site /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif . Plus if you sign up for their email newsletter, they'll send you offers for free trials of their new products. They sent me a nice trial set of shrink tube a while back that was great.

They dont have the switches I need on their www site though. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I have done some searches though, seems that Sherco makes the switch I need. They havent updated their site in like 2 years though... that always makes me nervous. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

awesome! another free catalog. keep em comin!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I am gonna completely wire the s-10s dash myself, so I'd be good to have a bunch of sources of electronic goodies beforehand so I can get all my ducks in line. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

specifically... a standard sized rocker switch that: mounts in a round hole, is illuminated when on, and is blue. I see red and green ones alllll over the place it seems, but no blue ones. Not exactly sure why. After the s-10 swap, my rig is gonna have a black/blue theme inside and out, so I thought it'd be cool to have my switches fit into the scheme.

at any rate, thanks for the suggestions guys, Ive ordered all the free catalogs I can find.. hopefully one of them will yield what I need. If anyone knows of any other suppliers not mentioned above, lemme know!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I don't if you're looking for a standard rocker or one like this:
    Round/blue rocker switch

That's designed for a PC though so you may want to check the amp rating if you're not using a relay.

    Try Google too.

yeah, Im looking for one where the entire switch is lit... at twilight i might not be able to see a little tiny light at a glance. im tryin google... but its hard to narrow a search down so i dont get the phone book. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I dunno, if I cant find what i want, maybe what I'll do is just have marine-grade rubber-booted steel switches with blue-when-on indicator lights mounted right next to the switch. I'd rather have the blue plastic rockers tho... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
