    I didn't and mine doesn't leak. It's the only part of my 350 that doesn't leak.../forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

One good reason not to use it is the rubber will squeze it all out and what is inside is gonna eventialy get sucked up and block the pick up tube screen.

No you don't and also dont overtorque or you can split it. Kick'n gasket reusable....pulled my pan down several times and put it right back up and it doesn't leak!

I dunno if you could split it...mine has steel inserts embedded in the rubber around the bolt holes to keep from over compressing the gasket./forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Rene, where did you get your gasket? P/N or Price?
I am planning on replacing the one in my 80 and would like the info.

    Thanks,
    Chris

It was a Mr. Gasket piece...probably re-packaged and manufactured by another company. I don't have the pn#, but I recall paying about $27 US for it. It came with all new bolts too.../forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
