Got a question abuot 57" springs,,,,,

    Got a question abuot 57\" springs,,,,,

    im definatley going to do this mod this winter, I just read Rene's article (good article i will be following it on my swap) But im gonna need more then 4.5 inch lift i need 7-8, What do you suggest i do? the only block i will run is the zero rate and the body lift ill use is the 1 inch, do they make a 57" long 2 inch lift spring that will work on my truck? TIA

    Aftermarket they do. Rear 2" lift springs from Rough Country.

    i read Rene's article about it and he said that it was out of a 2 wheel drive? are the rear springs same for 4wd and 2wd?

    I doubt they are the same...but they may be similar. I'd have to check out a 4WD F-150 and do a heads up comparison.

    so could i use some lift springs from a f150 truck, ie not the stock ones but soem , say 2 inch lift springs... as long as there 57 inch by 2.5 inch... /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

    I don't see why not...the 2.5" width is probably the more important dimension.

    How well an aftermarket spring flex's is the unknown though.
