Hey guys I need some help. I have been wheelin all my life. But have never been to one of these events. I want some ideas for some contest. I will buy a swaybar disonnect from ord. And I will talk to Steve and buy some CK5 stickers. And hope other people will donate some other stuff for the cause. The park we are going to has a obstacle course which includes a mini Rubicon Trail, Stair Step, Mud Pit, Teeter Totter and a Frame Twister to hone your driving skills. Along with 800 acres of trails so there is alot to do. I just need some ideas. We are up to 44 rigs now..........Thanks Dan

along with the ubiquitous drag races, hill climbs, and mud runs, we could try something that won't favor the guys with all the cash in their rigs. i like the idea of the obstacle course, maybe we can make it even tighter in some sections. i can donate some orange cones, and we can make it very technical.
    and then change your tire!

and some non-truck contests, for the passengers, spotters, wives, etc.
toss the pinion-ring on the axle, roll a steel wheel with nothing but a screwdriver, mud eating contest, whatever.

damn the schedule!!! of all the saturdays this summer, why are the dodgers coming to play the A's on that one??!!??

How about the drivers (not driving their trucks) run over this obstical course, then change their tire and run back and the first person wins the swaybar disconnects and the most breath-less one gets a CK5 sticker for trying. How bout that?
Are ya'll going to do this in texas? I'm just kidding!

Yep Hollister. I don't think I want to change a tire just to see how fast I can doit.... That seams kinda silly. I'm not very competative so can't think of jack!
Oh hell lets just party at night and wheel in the day....sounds like a heluv an idea.

I have seen a contest where the driver is blindfolded and the passenger must give directions to the driver to maneuver through an obstacle course! We could set up cones and also have them drive over the obstacle course - we could use a system of total time to complete, and add on amounts of time for cones run over or something. ?? This makes for great teamwork (or a lot of cussin if they get it wrong! ha,ha) Just an idea...

Hmmm, putting the trust in someone else to save my rig from rolling down a hill??? NOT! Now if it is just cones on flat ground, Ok.
How about fallow the leader, dumb egh?

How about an obstacle course, using cones, where the wives and girlfriends drive the trucks. Parallel parking would have to be included! I think it would be fun and would get the significant others involved.

What's the worst thing that could happen on a tame obstacle course with rubber cones? If my girlfriend can't go (she works weekends), maybe I'll let your wife drive my truck in the competition. [IMG]

BaaaHHHhaaaa you are braver than you think!!! First thing my with is truly a cityslicker! She would try to put mascara on her eyes while driving your rig! Are you sure you want that?
Next I have a 4speed, she would pop the cluch and get scared and instead of hitting the brake to stop she would floor the gas and crash into whatever the rig is pointed at.....
So even in a desert with no one/anything around I still would not let my woman drive!!

But my wife is NOT going to be the co-pilot..........I'm not trying to do anything to serios for a compition.. Just something to do in between wheelin trips...........Dan

I'll see if we could use my brothers Bronco for that LOL. I could probably come up with a junk car for that. But I don't think the park rangers would like it......Dan

2 rigs + thick rope(tow strap) = tug of war
tug of war + mud = fun

The Black Hills 4 Wheelers contact vendors for donations before their "Dakota Territory Challenge" each year. They are usually able to get a winch from Warn and several other goodies from other vendors just by asking them. How about it CK5, gonna donate some stickers? What do you say Stephen, how about some goodies from ORD? Then just have a drawing on Saturday night after trail riding and BBQ. Let's drink some beer and bullshit around the fire!!!

There definitely should be a prize for the person who travels the farthest to this event.
