I am thinking about getting a front bumper like that for my tow rig, is it metal or some kind of plastic that covers the factory bumper? have never seen one up close.

I'm pretty sure it is a factory bumper, just not original to this particular truck. I've seen a few early-mid nineties trucks around town with them.
It's all metal. Looks like the same piece as any other bumper except for the cutouts for the lights.

No, I'm pretty sure it's after market, that would be like me saying that I have seen a few lifted K5's around town so they probably came from the factory that way. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Its aftermarket, they sell it in LMC, part number 39-9810.
299.95. Seems a little pricy to me?

Really? Than what was the RPO code for the 40's and family cage?

I stand corrected. Now if you'll excuse me, I must go polish my bling bling.

/forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif Want to trade your teardrop bumper for a nice stock chromer? /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

I like how they frenched in the plate. I have been considering doing that to mine. Couldn't find one in the budget when I converted to a painted bumper.

Yeah, thats the one I want, and a paintable rear bumper and grill, will look closer to the new Z71 Sub.

If I can ever get my Digital Camera working again... /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif I will get some pics of mine. I still have to get the rear paintable bumper on. I put a black 94-98 grille w/the Sport (Black and Red) Bowtie and a black bumper on my Black 93. Made a great improvement IMO /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
