Well, I finally got my 1-ton conversion done enough that I could drive the rig around the block. As things were doing okay, I kept making bigger blocks. Finally, on one side street, I was going around 25 or so (guessing as I haven't hooked up the speedo yet) and started to slow. Dang thing started to shakes and wobble so bad I thought I was loosing a tire!! I slowed down quickly ight in the street and got out to check all four tires. Everything appeared okay. I continued onto the next street. Got up to about 30 or 35 and then went to decel for the next turn and HELLO!! Thought I was gonna loose it!

Got the rig home and parked it. Went into the house to clean my drawers. Holy snot that was scary!!

Anywy, on my way to the hardware store tomorrow to try the washer fix. Hope y'all's ingenuity works for me! I am running out of pants!!

I actually have a WTO setup, just don't have the tabs welded yet for the ram. Was planning to drive it to the welding shop. Need the washers for that!

You can have Steve at MOO weld the tabs on the bolt-on ram mounts.
Dunno how much your welder is charging you, but this may not cost that much more.

Hehee, Welcome to the club /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Lucky you did the swap at your house. I installed D60 at a friends shop 30 miles from home. Had to take side streets all the way home, had to slam on the brakes and pull to the side every 2 miles or so. Get that ram on!

Sheesh, I feel really lucky. I did the Dana 60 front axle swap last fall to my '74 K10, and I haven't had even a hint of death wobble. I'm very meticulous when I work on my truck, and I try to do everything right. I can tell by many of the posts on this site that a lot of guys work in the same manner, trying to get everything just right. It's weird that some wind up with DW, and some don't. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Well, good luck, it sucks to spend a bunch of time and money to have things turn out not nearly as well as they should...

I saw that post but do these spacers only go in the TOP caps (bushings), the bottom caps (bearings), or in both upper/lower???

The bottom wouldn't need it. They are saying to use them on the top where you have the plastic bushings.
