    Just curious. Did you swap entire axles because of a gear change as well?

    If not, wondering why you just didn't swap the outers only.

    yes I found a 3/4 ton front with 4.11's already in it for $50 so I just swapped the whole axle.

    looks very nice...all I see is that you need to hack off those shock hangers and put some flush mounts on it...

    Yeah I know I already had the tube finished when I realized how LOW those hang...must be from a 2WD. I can always add those later then touch up the axle. Right now I just need to get it in.


    And no I didn't sandblast it....many hours with a wire wheel /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif I sandblasted all the smaller pieces as the blaster I have access to is a contained unit. Thanks for all the comments everybody...seems I have been working on these things forever and soon I get to enjoy them.

    I'm right there with you on that one...I need to get my 14bolt and sackle flip on...only been sitting in the garage for 8 months now... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Those are my old wheels. Mickey Thompson Classic II's 15x10 6 lug.
