So, the power goes off bout 6:40 while I'm getting ready for work, light the k. lamps, candles in wifes bathroom, and help her get ready for work. So I go to the shop out back (big red barn) to use the corded phone for the power co. and the lights work...uh....ok.....what's up with this? I wait till 8 to call and elec. shop and they can't send someone for 3 hrs. , so I take down xmas lights and he shows up, but it's not the power into the house but one side of the power into the box is dead, he thinks maybe a bad meter...or could be the neighbor when he put in sewer line, the backhoe cut the wire but that was fixed by power co. ---so...the neighbor isn't here today so I ran a cord to his plug and here I am.. and, no I'm not the K30 guy... So, the power guys show up and said they will hook up a "dry transformer" to the meter later today, and they bring one over. Something on two wheels that they plug in where the meter goes and plug the meter back in..now everything works for the weekend, but they said "no parties"[IMG] [IMG] and they'll be back next week to locate the problem with my underground power..prolly the backhoe thing....sorry to miss work today...lol....[IMG] [IMG]

dont they have anything called "Dig safe" where you live? here, its against the law to dig at all in your hard, other than with a shovel of course--I'm talking excavating, sewers, trenches etc. without a map from dig safe showing where everything is- its a free service, but you can get some big a** fines if you are excavating and don't have one, god forbid you screw up your neighbor's power!

Awww....come on now, you wanna be him, don't you? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I have done that before. Gone over to the neighbors garage, which his back garage is right in my back yard. He has an outlet right there, ready for me to use any time. I have helped myself to that outlet plenty of times!! [IMG] [IMG]

Ya, the people came out and sprayed the area where the cable/power/fone lines were but the backhoe dude, you know with more power, just went after it and dug to far past the paint...so...cut of everything of mine...but supposedly all was fixed, but I don't know now..maybe just some problem with the lines out front. He's a little way north of me. It would be faster for Rene to check on him.
