I listen to 101.1, 105.1, 1080 (sports radio) and 1190/750 (talk radio). Pretty much all I need. Every once in a while I'll scan to find the oldies station... thats 'bout it.

For a good illegal immigrant aid station, try El Tapatio. Its inexpensive (ie under $20 for two peeps) and I really like it. I usually get the chicken Burrito Tapatio. Its a stomach-full, thats for sure. Tastey too. :)

The radio stations here blow big time, I refuse to listen to any of them.
Pick any one and they are all the same, only 5 songs in their play list and it's a good bet ya are gonna either hate em or have heard them so many friggin times in the last 30 years that ya want to scream.

Mexican resturants are found everywhere, you can pretty much throw a rock in any direction and hit one.

The radio stations used to be a lot better. 94.7, 101.1 and 105.1 were my stations of choice, but they have gone down hill. I rarely listen to the radio anymore.

Chevy's is my favorite Mexican resaurant. It's really hard to find good Mexican food up in the northwest. I've tried a bunch of places and Chevy's is the best I've found so far.

Try Muchas Gracias - there's locations all over Vancouver.

Try El Burrito Loco on 82nd by Madison High School - the best I've had and I lived in San Diego for 5 years. They are small, hole in the wall types, not restaurants. Most restaurants cater to 'mild' Mexican food lovers and are NOT authentic. Gotta go to a place that barely undertands English to get the good stuff..................:haha:

92.3 is the best rock station...............105.9 is smooth jazz and my favorite (yep, I'm an old fart).

In my experience, both "authentic" chinese food and mexican food sucks. The only yummy stuff is atleast slightly "americanized".

KGON 92.3 Kinda general classic rock. Muchos Gracias is the best taco shop. Don Pedros is also the real deal. Most of the Mexican restaurants are bunk gringo stuff. Azteca is also good.

the best mexican food is at the trailers on the side of the road... absolutely no joke. you will not find better mexican food ANYWHERE. i think the best mexican restaraunt is La Margarita, but that's down in salem. :D

Have you thought of switching to seafood? There are several REALLY good seafood places in the PDX area.

Radio stations in Pdx suck big time. there all owned by just a few companies and there quite bland to say the least. I listen to NPR (91.5) and a few shows on 970am. When I can I stream kexp.org up in Seattle no commercials and lots of local music. Other then those I just plug in the ipod.

Muchas gracias is always a good idea after a few beers. Chevys is the best in Vancouver for a nicer atmosphere and the food is really fresh but not really authenic.

Radio sucks around here, that is why I got XM Radio in my pickup and the Excursion:)

If you get down to Salem, great Mexican place on Lancaster near Chuckie Cheese called Los Dos Amigos.

One word of caution on that - only eat at the crowded "roach coaches" (as they are affectionately called at work) - avoid the ones that are empty...

And there is a really good one I've heard up SE 82nd near Tool Peddler (south of Johnson Creek Boulevard) that sets up in a tiny gas station -

Roach coaches are only good when you are working on the job.
