I got the tranny in today. I just went with a GM cert tranny so I could get the warranty. I was not that bad to do on a rack, but I wouldnt try it at home. Onto the next project, I just picked up a set of ported heads with stainless steel valves 2.02 and 1.60, a performer TBI intake, big block throttle body and a K&N for $500.

If you upgrade the motor in the Burb with that stuff you can kiss that tranny goodbye! GM is going to hate you. You'll be in for a tranny ever other month.

My Chevy isn't broken, its just out of gas.

Thats ok thats why I did the tranny. Besides we put a GM cert 700r4 in a good cutomer of ours two years ago with a 383 stroker and a 8 psi blower. He uses it to tow his 25 ft daycruiser. So far no problems, I just hope mine holds up just as well.
