hey guys, I updated some pics for Insane Ewok in my gallery (<a target="_blank" href=http://coloradok5.com/gallery/Jeffs-Stuff>http://coloradok5.com/gallery/Jeffs-Stuff</a>) you'll notice the captions on one of the sub gallery has 'Updated 8/15/2001'

there are 3 new pics, 1 showing the sticker from Jeff427(finally, been on awhile but haven't gotten around to getting pic's) I had a couple kids walk up to me about 2 weeks ago, and they were trying to make fun of me, and the asked if I built it or bought it (sticker says Build Not Bought)... I proceeded to tell them that a whole bunch of it had been built... started telling them about it etc. and they just walked away blushing... LOL [IMG]

also you'll notice the BDS lift is sagging a bit in the rear. I checked to make sure the rear springs were installed the correct way, and they are. from what I understand it doesn't really matter how the fronts are installed...

I got about $400 into it... It is definately an upgrade that will be going in Jedi Mind Tricks as soon as the new engine is put in!

I new it was a good upgrade, but I didn't realize how good it was until I got my second k5, and then I realized how good of an upgrade it was. I'd rate it right up there about 50/50 with the lift/new axles/new wheels &amp; tires!

actually in all fairness the sag probably isn't quite as bad as it looks there cuz the vehicle isn't sitting on level ground... [IMG] LOL (but there is definately some pretty good sag)

Are you already running the 1" 0 rate add-a-leaf in the rear?

nope all that I'm running is the springs, but I also gotta D44 up front with the 14B FF out in the rear... this setup is suppose to already be 1" higher in the rear [IMG]

anyway I'll be adding ORD's 1" add a leaf in the rear, and if needed I also gotta bottum spring out of the old spring pack I can use for an add-a-leaf.

Did you measure after the install? Did it change right away (bound up bushings) or is it settling slowly? If they are settling slowly you might wann wait until it stops then adjust for ride height.
Or put a winch on the front - that will level it out!

LOL actually I already wanna put a winch out front! LOL

anyway I measured the front right after the lift got done, but not the back... it measured 13 1/4 inches from the top of the front axle to the bump stop mount, and a couple weeks ago it measured (yea get this) 13 3/4 inches at the same place! [IMG]

    kinda funny huh???

actually I'm not completely sure that this lift has finished settling, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna be patient enough to wait for it! LOL [IMG] (that patients thing, it is not in my nature just ask my wife! LOL)
