'74, if you are going to the Sept GBR meeting it will not be the 1st weekend, due to the holiday. We combined the Sept & Oct meetings because of: holiday, SFWDA meeting, Sept trail ride, Dixie Run, Oct trail ride/work weekend. It just didn't leave enough time. the Sept/Oct meeting will be Sept 29- the weekend before Dixie Run.
We've had two CK5 rides to Tellico, it is kind of an annual thing. Also, Grim & I are in the GBR and Keith & Dep are in the Renagades. Keith & I have gotten together and ridden a few times, as well. So we do get together when we can. Let one of us know if you want to do something. Where are you in Atl? I'm in Dallas (Marietta).

Quality Damage!
BigJear thanks for updating 74. I ment to mail him about the date change.
Top picture in photo page 4 is from the last CK5 Tellico Run Depdog set up.
From Left to Right is
Dollar (my truck), Jeep guy DepDog Knows. That truck was pretty well built. He had a transfer case problem and still did a fair job of keeping up with no front drive. 60's front and rear with Detroits. 360 engine. I had respect for it. If it had been healthy it was as capable as any of the K5's. For those that Know who Pete Ruby is that's who put it togther. 2 Years ago Pete made every Magazine. He drove the Big Yellow Mid 70's Cherokee with "Yahoo" on the front fenders, that kept showing up in the coverage of the sportsmans Challange.
Next to the Jeep is Depdog's 77. WELL built trail rig. I hope to be as close to as well built as his is one day.
Then Keiths truck. Again awsome truck and another I aspire to be as built as.
The Red and white 80 Jimmy is BigJBears.
The Green truck is MtPockets 79 converted to convertable Project Money Pit. Nice truck. Can't wait to see it again now that it's bobbed.
Some how Yeild2Me wasn't there for that picture but was on the ride.
The Next Picture is Rough Water Crossing. That jeep is being Dragged out by Depdog. Don't know what that guy was thinking. That Jeep had a Toyota front axle. He Blew the Birfeilds out and pretzled the tierods. It was Quality Breakage. At least his tow rig was a K5 [IMG] His bud about hit us head on in it coming down the trail with the trailer to come pick up the POS.
The Next picture is Fains Ford (never met fain hehe). The next 2 are what I call Extra Credit Hill comming out of Fain's. Its Just a little Carb tester hill that likes getting trucks hung. I had to get dragged off it 2 years ago. Pics on my site.
Next is a picture of Yeild's Truck. Last is a shot of the back of MtPockets truck.
SO DEP!/ Guy', when we going again? That was fun. You decided to go to Dixie run yet Dep?

It's not my damn planet monkey boy!

Poor soul?!?! That be I at the MWSK5T where my Diesel hydrolocked. the glow plugs were removed but the starter still wouldn't turn it over. I was ready to give up, then someone from Arkansas suggested MANUAL turning of the motor. It wouldn't reach from the top so had to go from the bottom, hence the muddy back!! And what was it called again? Old Faithful?

J**P...it's whats for dinner!
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need any roads!
If it wasn't for bad luck I would have no luck at all!!

Well its gonna get nicer. Just got a spotless 88 silverado for 600. Bigjbear,BigDeal, and Difflube helped part her out today! Pulled the rear shaft(bigjbear) transfer case/tranny,front driveshaft(bigdeal) Difflube provided the work area so we went at it all day. And pulled the engine. I plan to put the 88 body on my 79 frame. But first it will be lined and fitted with a roll cage!! The crazy thing is that I told Grim, depdog, bigjbear, and others that it was forsale but no one persued it. I finally went to see it and snatched it. I will have pictures on my web page Monday.
