I am looking for an older GPS unit (such as in my price level off ebay) for a good GPS to map out trails and upload on computer so when BLM tries to close trail because of lack of use I can show an exact map of trails we have run, get my drift? Anone know of a good unit for this? I look them up and find soooo many street navigation units instead of BFE mapping units

You can usually find an old GPS 315 (Magellan) for $50 or so on e-bay. Mine works pretty good, made it my boat gps after I got a new Garmin.

You know, I've never tried but I asked at Sportsmans Warehouse the other day and the guy said he thought I could, I'll have to look. At any rate, I think you could find this one or one similar on ebay that does take downloads for under $100.
