$1700 is a great deal? You want to buy a Dana 60?

the buy it now may not be that good of a deal, but if you could get it for the 1200 opening that might not be too bad, and no, i don't want to buy one, i have enough 60's already /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

no sense in being too greedy /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The buy it now is still a good deal. I've just rebuilt my front 60 and I've got double of that into it. Course it has a little extra Bling in it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It was listed last week and got zero bids.

    Wish it had lower gears.

With over four days left on the auction it will go up.

Dodge housing, open diff, 4.10s, stock tie rod, 30 spline outers, no lock-outs, no calipers...even that $1200 is starting to sound a little steep.

NOTE: If this had been a member selling this I would not have replied, but the poster said it was not his, and we have an E-bay forum (this axle is listed in the list all section on page #2 because it has so much time left to bid on), and I'm board, so what the hell.

I think if it was 4.56 it would be worth every penny of the starting bid. The guy told me shipping would be $350 to san diego. If I had the money and it had 4.56 gears Id buy it in a second. It has been completely rebuilt. That costs probably more than hes selling it for. Just wish I had money. I need a second job.

Actually the rebuild isn't even 1/2 of the price he's selling it for. Unless you have to pay a shop to do it.

I always wonder about other peoples rebuild. I honestly think I'd rather have an original unit and do the work myself than hope some stranger working in his garage even knows what backlash or bering preload is, let alone have the proper tools or knowledge to set them correctly.

I totally agree myself. If you can't do the job, then you shouldn't attempt it in the first place.
