Well this week my window on drivers side won't roll all the way down. I can occasionaly roll down windows on pass side but not always.
And to top it off My Door lock got stuck and I had to climb over the console and out pass side and repeated process after paying for fuel. Why and is this common?
It is an 89 silverado package. /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif

Those little switches on the door sometimes die. they get old and gummed up. You can clean them but sometimes its easier to just replace them.

i had the same problem.what i did was pull the door panel and grease all the window cranks and arms etc.and clean and dielectic grease the motor and switch connections and check the window grounds.
the windows are faster but still slower then stock.
just changing the switch is the easiest solution but i found in all my doors the window grease had become hard and really sticky.
but then again the bottoms of my doors are open to the world.
    goodluck
