I bought a 86 k5 and wanted to change out the headlights due to a couple not working and found that the factory headlights do not fit. They are too big. It appears that one of the previous owners has changed the front-end. How do I tell what I have. The H & L Beams are side by side with one big park and turn light below.

The side-by-side headlights came on 90-91 K5's and Burbs. They might have even been on the 89's, but I'm not certain. Anyway, I've got a '90 Burb sitting in the driveway that looks exactly as you describe.
