Grooved Swampers Trip Report (I like them)

    above is what i did. All four done in the same pattern. Ideal Groover with .250" HD blade (2 used)

    I drove about 500 miles this weekend, and the greatness that is grooved swampers in amazing.

    They didn't "track" once going down 101 from San Jose to Grover Beach. They ride much better (dare I say, radial like!?)and are marginally quiter.

    Overall, I am very happy with them. I will get a thicker blade and cut out the wear bars once it starts gettingto be a problem. Also, I'll get them out onto the rocks this week (thursday) and will update this then.

    Cliff Notes: Gooved swampers much more betterer

    looks like you missed a groove, top row, third one in /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif look great though

    yeah, after sniffing burning rubber all day, i was bound to miss one. I think I'll just leave it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    I am going to do that to mine soon. can you tell me the type of tool you used. I know a .250"HD blade. But what does that go on. Thanks.

    actually, i don't think I took any pics of the rig out at the dunes. most of them were of Rita putting around on a quad

    They go on the tire grooving/siping irons. Made by ideal I think....
