The groover worked great, especially this morning with the sun beating down on me and the tires. The last tire took only 30 minutes, got the feel for it and it went well. Now I'm going to drive them 200 miles and test them. See ya'll on Monday /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Grooving is the [naughty word], seems like they should come that way from the factory.... Grooving also Quiets the tires down on the road.... i still got a big pile of rubber in my garage from a set of 39"s and a set of 42"s,

i like the groovin ya did, looks good.. prolly works well too. Generally Im not a big fan of cutting lots of rubber off a tire (except maybe turdbirds) but it seems like u cut just the right amount. gj!

Here are examples of how I did mine.

The first pic is of the fronts..........this was done with a 1/4" wide blade (Ideal groover). The second pic is of the rear and was done with an 1/2" blade. I did the rear tires differently because they were much more worn and I needed to clean out in between the original lugs also.

possibly restricted, as you are only a registered user, but it has a lot to do with the post being nearly 2 years old.
