I know ck5 isnt like a traditional 4x4 club or anything... but is there any reason why we couldnt do big group buys on things? I mean, one of my local clubs made a small group buy on wheel spacers, got them for around $35 instead of the MSRP $50-60. It seems that with such a big membership/reader base, we could get some really great deals on that kinda thing. I know Steve Fox is prolly already up to his eyeballs in stuff to do, but if there was a way to work it out, it'd be pretty dang cool. Could increase memebership too, if there were only open to members.

    just an idea.

I think it would be cool to make a group purchase of Interco tires. Or how about Detroit Lockers for 14 bolts?

I think this would require a new level of work associated with the site. Steve would probably need to assign a moderator for public relations with vendors for group buys.

But yes, this place would draw some interest.

They do it on Pirate4x4.... you should go check it out on that site and read and see how it works. Usually you can see the stuff up in General 4x4 and ask around on the how too's......

yeah, the way i see it there are lots of things that we ALL seem to want/use at one point or another. Could be POR15, or maybe Amsteel Blue winch rope, or ff14b detroits, or 1.5" wheel spacers, or even little stuff like suspension bushing kits. who knows, maybe warn could give us the hookup on HS9500i winches! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif At any rate, it just seems like one of the best things about being part of a large group of 4x4 guys/grls is that you have the kind of buying/bargaining power that could really net some great prices for everyone. Why not take advantage? I know Steve prolly has no time to deal with this kinda poop, but if it could be managed in some way, I think it would be beneficial to us all. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
