Yep it's UYB. Haven't been around in a long time. Finally paid my dues again, and back online. Parents moved to Battleground,WA. in early Sept. I stayed down in Pleasanton,CA. and tried living down here, but just too damn expensive,so I am moving. I already have my K5 registered in Washington. I am also going to go to the art institute of Portland ,well that's my plan. Here's what I need from you guy's... :wink1:

Good places to live (ie.nice apartment?) I have a bunch of Apartment for rent books, but wanna here about places from people that have lived there.
I'm going back up to Washington on Feb 22 to the 26th. Anyone wanna meet up? Where do you guy's go wheeling? Links/Pics would be great!

    Off to search....

Tax wise it is better to live and work in WA state on the Vancouver side (no income tax that way)... then drive across the border and buy everything big with no sales tax in Oregon.

Closest wheeling would be Tillamook State Forest, aka TSF. About an hour from Portland's West side. Great trails out there. Lot of challenges. You can get everything from Rocks, mud, snow, etc...

Ya, I live in the Cascade park area of Vancouver. Nice area, close to 205 and 14. I live in some apartments called The Meadows and they're decent. No loud people or stereo's boomin' in the middle of the night, crime is low etc..

Agree with Kenny about the taxes. :)

    Welcome back btw...

    Mike

hey - i think if you're going to go to AI of Portland, you're better off living close enough that you won't have to drive and pay for parking - or at least live on the max line. it's 1.25 per hour to park on the street, and the garages are even worse. i've got a good friend who attends AI, and he loves it. thus, including cost of fuel, you won't be saving much if anything by living much out of downtown. apartments can be had for inexpensive, and i know some tricks to parking. :) i live about a mile from AI - tho i attend PSU. fwiw - i know a place that sells 60's for about 500 bux when they have them. ;)

Don't hold yer breath on that outfit.
I lived about a 1/4 mile from that place for nearly three years.
I stopped in on a weekly basis and he never had one. He always says ya we have one and it always turned out to be a D44 or a D60 rear axle.
