How long's it usually take you guys to clean a long rifle? I just did my .22 for the first time, and it took me an hour and a half. I'm hoping it's just cause I had to figure it out more than cause I'm a we todd....

I can clean the .22 or .35 in about 20 minutes.

I just cleaned my 1911 today

It went really fast, cleaning the remnants of 3 bullets out, hahahahahaha

I was putting the return spring retainer back in backwards, thats what took me so long.....

Anyway.... I think I'm gonna shop for a nicer spring

Yeah it should only take about 20 minutes, it took me an hour and a half to clean my M-44 just because it had the factory storing grease all gewd on it. Man you need more than warm water and CLP to clean that(only a Marine will understand that joke /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif).

    Yikes...

Well, it was my first time cleaning this gun, I spilled cleaner and oil all over the porch, and I hadn't cleaned it since I put 300 rounds through it last september or so. Is that enough to make it take an hour and a half? I got into it thinking it would only be 20 minutes, just wanted to see if that was realistic... I guess it was, I'm just we todd did...

I took my time figuring it out, too, though. I figure next time it shouldn't take that long.

Yeah, but I know if you needed to you could field strip and reassemble your AR-15 in the dark in 10 minutes. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
