I have a Sig Sauer p226 that has a "rounded out" flat blade screw drive that the PO made for me. It is the bottom bolt that holds the hand grips on. Any one have any tipes to get it out, or should I just take it to a gun smith?

I don't know gunsmithing, so I can't really help you there.

But, I'd at least suggest unloading the gun before you take a fuggin hammer to it, mmmk? :D

Use a dremel cutting disk to make another slot on at the right angle of the screw

Carefully drill a small hole in the center of the screw and then use a broken bit extractor to work it out.

Nice choice of firearms - I carry my 229 daily.
