Leave it to the Italians to get out of hand with attention to detail.

I hate Foose... Every car is done exactly the same.... Why is it every car done these days has to be slammed with 20's and low profile tires?

    freakin sheep......

Yeah, I hear ya. I can't stand that either. I'm a sucker for the OEM look.

We were flipping the channels one night and stopped for a few minutes on overhaulin',my wife started talking about our 1970 impala. I stopped her mid sentance, and said, don't ever, EVER, even THINK about sending the Impala out for something like that. EVER!

I respectfully disagree, and believe chip foose is one of, if not the best, hot rod builders/designers in the world.

Yup, and the state of hotrods sucks imo... Cookie cutter the majority of the time... Same style over and over... Pulling the wool over the eyes of the mindless sheep, aka the American public, as they're led to slaughter...

Not as pukable as the teal/fuscia travesty in the 80's, but just as boring.. If you dig his work, thats cool.. I'm not impressed... Heck Boyds guys do more interesting work imo...

The whole premise behind Overhaulin imo goes against everything a custom builder should be striving for.. Having it done in a week no matter what, is business, not for the love of the art... Spending countless hrs on a single aspect till it's just what you want is what it's all about imo, no matter how challenging... Rushing the build goes against everything I believe in as a builder.. I'll leave that cr*p for work...

I agree. On the other hand The producers of the show control what happens. I don't like to see everyone of the vehicles with crate motors and stock width axles, but with 5 days to do a build you pretty damn limited on what you can create. Now the Boyd guys can do some cool stuff but they are never limited to 5 days. So with that being said it's really apples and oranges.

humm...... now you are just being mean, saying Boyd's craptastic cars are more interesting, maybe, but definitely not better built.

and this car, Foose designed 2005 AMBR and Riddler winner, the 36 ford "impression" are similar, but so different, and breakthrough designs, and ideas, the details are crazy, just beautiful cars.
