GVW 6100

    the door on my blazer says that the GVW is 6100 pounds that is a little heavy? or is that a normal GVW for a blazer it is a 90 1/2 ton.

    just wondering

    I believe that my 82 which originally came with a Diesel says 6300GVW..

    Remember this is a rating with 4 people and the recommend cargo weight. Your Blazer probably weighs about 5200 or so with no cargo or people.

    Nope, your Blazer doesn't weigh 6100 lbs. GWV=how much your truck weighs, GVWR is the maxiumum designed weight, such as when you load up tools and people, you shouldn't exceed the GVWR listed on the door.
