    ECO BOAT HITS REEF
GREENPEACE has been fined £4,000 after its flagship damaged a coral reef it was trying to protect.

In an embarrassing blunder, Rainbow Warrior II ran into the World Heritage site at Tubbataha Reef Marine Park in the Philippines.

The environmental group blamed a faulty chart. A spokesman said : "It indicated we were a mile-and-a-half away when we ran aground."

    That's not a faulty chart, that's a faulty navigator.
Charts by themselves do not indicate where you are; it's the navigator's job to establish the vessel's position and plot it on the chart.
Greenpeace is so f**ked up, they can't even backpedal correctly...

They actually named the ship "Rainbow Warrior II"? It is suddenly less than suprising that they cant read a chart.

Really not surprising they don't know what they're doing, but at least they manned up to making a mistake. Kind of. Well, at least they're paying for it.
